I have a Sandy's fitted and an Oceans2 Airflow cover.  I love the quality and cuteness of them both.  I can only imagine that the Wizard would be comparable.  It comes in the Oceans2 print, plus some solid colors and the new Savanna2 print.  I would love to have the wizard in the Savanna2!

What germs?

My only son is my 3rd child.  He is 2 1/2 yo.  He is putting a new spin on the meaning of the word 'germs'. 
This past Tuesday I met my mom halfway (halfway between her house and mine, our meeting spot for exchanging the kids).  The location is a gas station...with a restroom.  My 7yo came out of the one person at a time loo and left the door open.  My son, who knows how to potty but REFUSES, made a bee line for the door, ran in put his hands on the seat and then promptly rubbed his eyes and stuck his finger in his mouth.  My mom laughed and said 'Now I know why you call yourself Zookeeper!'  HaHa, very funny mom - I hope he doesn't get deathly ill while he is at your house.
This past Thursday we met again, but in a different location because she had not given them lunch yet.  The place - Burger King.  My son, who was refusing to sit down, (and to keep the peace he was getting away with it), dropped his cookie on the floor.  My mom says, "And that was the last cookie; they don't have any more."  Hmmmm....  I let him eat it.  I figure if he didn't get sick over the potty germs, a nasty cookie wasn't going to hurt him either.  Gross?  Yes.  Deathly?  No.  Happy boy with a cookie, who isn't going to throw a tantrum in the middle of Burger King?  Yes.

Seriously?

Well, I had an encounter with a roach today.  Seriously.  Thankfully, it was no where near my baby girl.  But, it was in her stuff.  I dumped a full pail of dirty dipes into the washer and then saw a little roach crawl its little self right out of the pail and into the washer with the dipes.  Um...  Hubby?
Y'all should know my hubby - who is not for cloth diapering in the first place, and often voices his disbelief that I would want to undertake the washing of said diapers in the first place - searched that load of dipes for that little fellow so that I wouldn't have to!  He even said I could wash the dipes extra if it would make me feel better.  Now wasn't that sweet of him. LOL Gotta love it.

If it had been a roach....

First off, let me just say that I HATE BUGS.  Little ones, shiny ones, spotted ones, and especially BIG ones.  They completely gross me out and give me the heebie jeebies.
My first child never cared much for bugs.  She spent her time talking and climbing and didn't really see a need for bugs. 
My second child was a beautiful little toddler during the year of the ladybug 'plague'.  She enjoyed popping those little polka-dotted beauties right into her mouth.  COUNTLESS ladybugs met their demise between the jaws of my little girly; I've no idea how many I plucked out, nor how many she digested.  At least ladybugs are kind of cute.
My third child is my only son.  He is two years old and is just now beginning to notice the interesting world of bugs.  He went outside today with a bowl in hand ready to catch bugs only to return moments later declaring that our yard has no bugs.  He was disappointed; I was secretly thrilled.  Whew.
But, yesterday was another story.  Yesterday my 8 month old precious, innocent darling had her first encounter with a bug.  I don't know how it happened.  I was holding her, outside, at dusk.  She was happily sucking away on her fingers.  She gagged.  I removed her fingers from her mouth.  Reinsert fingers.  Gag.  Remove fingers.  Etc.  Well, after a few minutes (poor baby) I finally realized that her fingers were NOT her problem.  I finger swiped her mouth - nothing.  She gagged again.  I swiped.  Nothing.  So, in the dim dusky light I opened her mouth and could see 'something' but couldn't tell what it was.  I ran into the house with her, swiped her mouth again, and a BIG beetle type bug fell onto the floor!  AAAAGHH!!!  I ran over to my hubby, held my poor baby out to him and yelled 'Make sure there are no legs or anything in my innocent baby's mouth!' 
My wonderful hubby dutifully disposed of the bug - but not without 'reassuring' me that the bug was completely dead.  Really!  Should that be reassuring?  She sucked the life right out of that bug while sucking on her fingers!  To which he replied 'Well, it was intact if that makes you feel better.'  Ummm, NO, it does NOT make me feel better.
So, today my oldest daughter (age 11) says, 'What if it had been a roach, Momma?' 
Well, if it had been a roach, dear, I would have lost the bit of sanity I have left and you would have forever needed to explain to your friends how a roach sent your momma to the funny farm.

Having a tired Easter....

Once again it is Easter time and I've yet to make time to dye eggs with my children.  There is always an excuse for not dying eggs, but this year I've got the most legitimate excuse ever.  You see, I've just got back from a two day trip.  I loaded up my oldest and youngest daughters (ages 11 years, and 7 months) and drove 6 hours to a visitation for a cousin of mine, spent the night in a hotel, went to the funeral the next morning, then visited family in the afternoon and headed back home.  We arrived home around 11:30 pm last night.  We then had to get up early this morning and head off to a soccer game - the last one of the season so we had to be there - Right at this moment, my 2 yo is nicely in bed taking his nap, and my baby is adamantly refusing to take her nap.  I've put her in the jumperoo to wear her out LOL....  alas, as soon as she gives up and falls asleep my 2 yo will probably wake up and then I still will not be able to take MY nap!  Argh.  Well, at least my 7 yo and 11 yo are not arguing right now - but then that makes me leary that maybe something in the atmosphere is going awry; why else would they not be arguing?? 

Something I learned at the soccer field...

If someone puts three open, half full, Capri Suns in the car seat that is attached to a stroller the car seat will be drenched and sticky when the Mommy tries to load up to go home and no one will admit to the wrong doing.  A t-shirt, a burp cloth, and a nursing cover do not have enough soaking power to protect baby....but a soccer jersey will keep the dampness away long enough to get back home.
