Having a tired Easter....

Once again it is Easter time and I've yet to make time to dye eggs with my children.  There is always an excuse for not dying eggs, but this year I've got the most legitimate excuse ever.  You see, I've just got back from a two day trip.  I loaded up my oldest and youngest daughters (ages 11 years, and 7 months) and drove 6 hours to a visitation for a cousin of mine, spent the night in a hotel, went to the funeral the next morning, then visited family in the afternoon and headed back home.  We arrived home around 11:30 pm last night.  We then had to get up early this morning and head off to a soccer game - the last one of the season so we had to be there - Right at this moment, my 2 yo is nicely in bed taking his nap, and my baby is adamantly refusing to take her nap.  I've put her in the jumperoo to wear her out LOL....  alas, as soon as she gives up and falls asleep my 2 yo will probably wake up and then I still will not be able to take MY nap!  Argh.  Well, at least my 7 yo and 11 yo are not arguing right now - but then that makes me leary that maybe something in the atmosphere is going awry; why else would they not be arguing?? 

Something I learned at the soccer field...

If someone puts three open, half full, Capri Suns in the car seat that is attached to a stroller the car seat will be drenched and sticky when the Mommy tries to load up to go home and no one will admit to the wrong doing.  A t-shirt, a burp cloth, and a nursing cover do not have enough soaking power to protect baby....but a soccer jersey will keep the dampness away long enough to get back home.

How Zoo-some!
